Funding for Postgraduate Teacher Training
You may be eligible for a tuition loan to cover the £9,250 course fee. Click here for more information.
There are three types of funding available. Depending on circumstances, you could receive all three:
- Tax-free bursary or Scholarships (See below for further details)
- Tuition Fee Loan and Maintenance Loan (awarded from Student Finance England)
- Additional finance help if you are a parent, have an adult dependant or have a disability
Bursaries for teacher training are available for eligible graduates who are starting their training in the 2024/25 academic year on non-salaried postgraduate routes for the following subjects:

Scholarships
Scholarships of up to £30,000 are available in selected subjects for trainees who are starting their training in the 2024/25 academic year. These prestigious awards are aimed at high-quality graduates with a 2:1 or first-class degree, who are passionate about their subject and have the potential to be inspirational teachers.
