AMP SCITT Celebration 2018

The event was supported by children from the local schools who joined the celebration of the new teachers by confidently sharing their work and showing pride through the oracy ‘ Say Something’ challenge. This provided local children with the platform to lead discussions with adults in a confident manner.

It was a real pleasure to be able to congratulate our 3rd cohort of new teachers to their QTS graduation.

Once again, they surpassed previous cohorts with regards the number of outstanding grades for each Teachers Standard and we were particularly delighted with the strength of our Primary cohort this year.

Our cohort again achieved above the national average, regarding retention, completion and success.

This has been achieved through the collaboration and partnership of over 25 schools, over 50 home coaches and the support from Headteachers and SLT from across Merseyside and wider boroughs in a commitment to identify and empower future teachers who could work in our schools to improve the education of our children.

We were delighted that for next year, we already have 7 new schools joining our partnership, as more Headteachers are recognising the strength and quality of our teacher education programme.

At AMP SCITT we strongly believe that a teacher needs to recognise that success won’t occur immediately and it takes hard work and commitment – after a knock back – you can’t give up and we have seen this resilience develop resulting in the high standard of planning & delivery of lessons by our new teachers.

We were privileged to be joined by Local MP, Bill Esterson, who praised and congratulated our new teachers on their commitment to developing and inspiring future generations.
